Wilds officiates in ICC Women’s World T20 East Asia Pacific Qualifiers
Australian Umpire Tony Wilds to stand in the ICC Women’s World T20 East Asia Pacific Qualifiers.Commencing last weekend, Wilds will stand in the week-long 4-Nation Tournament where each team will play each other twice. Competing in the tournament will be Japan, Papua New Guinea, Samoa & Vanuatu
The team on top of the ladder at the conclusion of this event will progress to the Global Qualifier.
The appointment to this International Tournament completes a busy season for Wilds who stood in several WBBL & WNCL fixtures. Wilds also made his KFC Big Bash League Debut in the Sydney Sixers - Melbourne Renegades match at the SCG in January. The Bathurst-based umpire was also appointed to Sheffield Shield and Matador BBQ One-Day Cup matches this season. Wilds fulfils the appointment after a late withdrawal by one of the Panel Members and flew to Japan straight from the National Umpire Panel post-season workshop.
