Simon Fry appointed to England versus Pakistan Series

Simon Fry - Ireland v Pakistan

Australian Umpire Simon Fry has been appointed by the International Cricket Council (ICC) to the upcoming England versus Pakistan Series in August/September.

The five match Series will see Fry on-field for three games, whilst ICC Elite Panel member Marais Erasmus will join Fry throughout the games in England and Wales.

Since his debut in January 2011 at the Adelaide Oval, Fry has stood in 26 One-Day Internationals, the most recent in Dublin on Thursday in the first of a two game series between Ireland and Pakistan.

Fry’s limited over career has included appointment by the ICC to foreign shores, including the Sri Lanka versus England Series in November/December 2014 and Zimbabwe versus India Series in July 2015. He was also part of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, standing in three games in New Zealand. Matched with his 26 on-field appointments, Fry has been TV Umpire in 13 fixtures, including todays match in Dublin.
