Cricket Australia runs Umpire High Performance Workshop

HP Workshop

Cricket Australia will hold the inaugural Umpire High Performance Workshop this weekend at the BUPA National Cricket Centre in Brisbane.

The program is being run by Cricket Australia National Umpire Coach Ian Lock and Umpire Education Manager Bob Parry and will focus on preparation for officiating at the Elite Level. The program covers a wide range of areas including TV Umpiring, Communication, Psychology, Nutrition, Field of Vision, Match Preparation and Season Planning. The attendees will also partake in practical net sessions with the National Indigenous Squad who are in Brisbane preparing for the season.

The Workshop will be attended by the CA Development Umpire Panel and six State Panel Umpires from around the country who have officiated in previous season WBBL, WNCL and Futures League matches. The Umpire High Performance Workshop and accreditation is an important step for those State Panel Umpires who will again be involved in Cricket Australia Male and Female competitions this season.
