The Student Zone is where you need to go to access and complete all of your unit work. You will have access to a range of great video clips featuring some of Australia’s best cricketers as well as other resource materials that have been tailored for your unit of work.
Cricket Smart allows you to learn all about your relevant subjects in a fun and engaging way, all the while using the the game of cricket as the theme.

Year 4: Are you a force with which to be reckoned?
This unit is designed to support the physical sciences element of the curriculum and investigate the concept of forces. It draws on the teaching opportunities arising from cricket by analysing some of the contact and non-contact forces that play a vital role in the game of cricket.
Year 5: Are numbers the real game?
How do you select a good cricket team? Is it enough to just use numbers? During this investigation you will examine a variety of graphs, some of them constructed from real data on players, others made up to help you understand what the graphs mean. The real data on players will represent their performances and will be compiled by you.
Year 5/6: Hosting an ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 Event
In this unit, you will take on the role of a researcher for the business community and investigate the benefits and challenges of hosting the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 in your nearest host city.
Year 7: Place and Livability – Making Your Place Even Better
This unit will examine the concept of liveability through an investigation of the area in which you live. You will also frame an inquiry into the liveability of your area and draw conclusion based on your findings.
Year 6: A Case Study of Fawad Ahmed
This unit covers the real life story of an Australian Sporting Hero, Fawad Ahmed and his journey of migration, hardship and sporting excellence.
Design and Technology
Year 7-10: Eyes on the prize – a design and innovation challenge
In this unit you will explore the rich history of the ICC Cricket World Cup through the evolution of the impressive trophies presented to winning teams. You will explore cutting edge digital tools and create a realistic three-dimensional model of a proposed trophy for the winning team of the ICC Cricket World Cup.
Health and Physical Education
Year 7-10: Movement and Physical Activity
In this unit you will take on many roles, including that of coach, and participate in many activities, all designed to help you teach yourself and your friends to throw really well.
Year 8-9: Bradman by the Numbers
Sir Donald Bradman is arguably the best batter that the sport of cricket has ever known. He is consistently named in the top 10 lists of the best athletes of all time and as a cricketer, he created statistics that had never been seen before and in some cases have not been surpassed in the sport of cricket.
