Training Session Ideas

Help your players score runs with varied training set ups and using all the space you have available

Using The Ground:

Use all spaces available such as the ground fence and mini grounds if space is limited! Remember to ask questions and give players feedback throughout the session. You can finish off the session with a modified game incorporating various elements that you focused on in the session.

Using The Centre Wicket:

Everyone should be engaged and involved, encourage creative shot play in your batters and set up scenarios for batters to achieve. This encourages your batters to think strategically and make good game decisions. Award batters for specific aspects of batting whilst feeling the pressure of a match situation. Remember to ask questions and give players feedback throughout the session. You can finish off the session with a modified game incorporating various elements that you focused on in the session.

Using The Nets:

Batters can use the nets in pairs or individually. Competitions can be played between each team in the nets. You can use targets to encourage batters to hit the ball in to the gaps, you can use the nets for throw downs and always remember to rotate your players so everyone is getting a fair practice.
