Townsville hosted 20 Coaches at a “Developing Batters” Coaching Workshop last Monday 16 January at Tony Ireland Stadium.

Coaches enjoyed former Yorkshire player and current Talent and Coach Development Officer Phil Robinson deliver a 90 minute batting masterclass covering activities on how to nurture adaptable batters which generated excellent discussion on skills, maturity and progressions.

This was followed by Sports Scientist Jonathan Connor from Cricket Australia discussing effective training environments and what that requires.

As part of the National Pathway Program, Coaching Workshops will be scheduled throughout Queensland to help expose coaches to the latest research and to support the ongoing learning of male and female cricketers.
